Laila Betts (Founder)

Laila is a young creator who enjoys writing and mentoring young people. She writes poems and short stories and is currently working on her own novel. Alongside her writing, she has acted in many plays and musicals over the years, with a particular love for spoken word poetry. Additionally, she is a pianist and percussionist who plays contemporary, modern, and classical music. She is passionate about making writing resources and guidance free for all students. By developing the Rising Voices Initiative, Laila’s goal is to help young people enjoy creative writing and ultimately become leaders through self expression.
